Privacy, with a clear purpose.

We use account and learning data to make Sage Owl Academy work, remember your progress, and improve the next practice. We do not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising.

The short version. You can begin as a guest, then connect an account when you want your learning record to travel across devices. You can permanently delete your account from the app.

1. Information we collect

Sage Owl Academy collects the information needed to provide its learning experiences, keep progress in sync, protect the service, and respond to your choices.

  • Account information. A Firebase Authentication identifier is created when you start. If you choose email and password, Google, Apple, or Microsoft sign-in, we receive the account data that provider makes available to us, such as an email address and display name.
  • Profile and learning record. Your chosen name, avatar, language settings, progress, activity results, review schedule, achievements, course choices, team membership, and learning preferences.
  • Learning inputs. Written responses, answers, and prompts that you provide while using feedback, missions, and other AI-supported learning features.
  • Voice feature data. When you choose a speaking exercise or Voice Coach, the feature needs microphone access. Depending on the exercise, audio is processed by the device speech service or an AI voice service to create the live experience. We do not use microphone access for unrelated advertising or tracking.
  • Purchase status. If a subscription is offered, our entitlement provider receives a product and entitlement status so we can unlock the correct Academy features. Payment-card information is handled by the relevant app store or payment provider, not by Sage Owl Academy.

2. How we use information

  • Provide the app, website, account sign-in, cloud backup, team features, and real-time learning activities.
  • Adapt the next lesson, mission, review, or practice to the evidence created in your learning record.
  • Generate requested AI feedback, voice interactions, and educational content.
  • Protect the service, prevent abuse, apply usage limits, and investigate technical problems.
  • Communicate about account or service matters when contact information is available and communication is necessary.

3. Service providers and limited sharing

We use service providers that process information only to operate the features described above. The providers used depend on the device and feature:

  • Google Firebase. Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, and secure cloud infrastructure for account and learning data.
  • OpenAI. AI feedback and selected neural-voice or real-time conversation features. Only the input necessary for the requested feature is sent through our protected service flow.
  • RevenueCat and the applicable app store. Subscription entitlement and purchase status, where subscriptions are available.
  • Website delivery resources. The public site loads fonts and selected visual libraries from Google Fonts, jsDelivr, and unpkg. Those providers may receive standard technical request data, such as an IP address, when the site loads.
  • Your learning group. If you join a team or organization, the group can see the profile and activity information needed for its learning experience.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the safety and integrity of Sage Owl Academy and its learners. We do not sell personal data or permit third-party advertising networks to track you across unrelated apps or websites.

4. Retention and account deletion

We retain account and learning data while your account exists and while it is needed to operate the service. You can delete your account in Profile - Account - Delete account. Deletion removes the profile, progress, cloud data, matchmaking presence, and linked account identity through the product flow. This action cannot be undone.

Some limited records may remain for a short period in security logs, backups, or where retention is required by law. Aggregated information that cannot reasonably identify you may be retained.

5. Security and international processing

We use access controls and encrypted network connections designed to protect information in transit. No service can guarantee absolute security, so protect your sign-in credentials and do not include sensitive personal information in learning prompts or public profile fields.

Our providers may process data in countries other than yours. When they do, we rely on their applicable safeguards and data-processing commitments.

6. Children

Sage Owl Academy is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13, or the equivalent minimum age in the learner's country. If you believe a child has given us personal information without the required consent, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, object to certain processing, or delete your personal information. You can update many details in the app and can request help by emailing alviziandre@gmail.com. We may need to verify that the request relates to your account before responding.
